"My best project is yet to be designed" is one of Rick's favorite quotations, from Frank Lloyd Wright. Wright's Taliesin North, near the hometown of Rick's grandfather, inspired him from an early age. He is one of the many project architects in the firm with strong construction backgrounds, and an acute awareness of wedding site and architecture.

He reaches for the stars when listening to the client's desires as well as when he is designing—never discounting an idea before exploring every option. He feels a client's dreams are one process, interpreting them quite another.

Journalists seek out Harrison Design Associates showcase work, often featuring projects that Rick has led in local, regional, and international publications. Yet his most rewarding experiences are when he is asked to design a home for the next generation of a client's family.
